Hello everyone. I think the benefits of beauty pageant exceed its drawbacks.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I have to say the beauty pageant is a social phenomenon recently, and its existence must have itself reasons certainly. In other words, it is also the inevitable result of social development.
The beauty pageant provides endless business opportunities for the society. For example, the beauty pageant contributes to some business development, such as the cosmetic surgery, the rag trade and so on. Moreover, the beauty pageant promotes the philanthropy effectively. Through the impact of organization and individual, and this can enable more people who need the help to receive assistance. In addition, the beauty pageant is also an approach of culture exchange. For example, every competitor will show the culture and custom themselves country for all audience.
As for individual, it can increase the confidence for every competitor. And through this match, they will find out themselves weaknesses and improving them timely. Therefore, this has enabe them to obtain more valuable experiences.

ReplyDeleteNowadays more and more beauty pageants are popular and most girls want to be the queen. Then some harm happened, such as some girls change their faces in order to get higher scores or want to gain the hearts of the boys. It’s really hurt their body; some of these girls even lost their lives. Of course beauty pageants still have benefits such as the business about the beauty. And it makes us more fashion and care about our behaviors all the time.
ReplyDeleteFor societies, beauty pageants make society more modern and fashionable. And more and more people focus on the external, they want to be the beauties not only just girls but also the boys. For the fashion part of the society it’s successful and for the employment of this business it’s still helpful. As it create a lot of positions for us. It still promotes the economy all over the world.
And for individuals, we care about our external more and we want to show our best to others. We have more accomplishment and we respect others. However, some girls chase beauty too much then it leads to be harmful to their bodies even the death. Focusing on the external much more than the internal makes some girls lose themselves. They do cosmetic surgeries or buy many cosmetics to make them more beautiful. It spends their too much time and expense.

ReplyDeleteIn the first place, I think beauty is different in every regions. In my view, the Asian girls who engage in model in the international stages are not beautiful,but don't know why they could be chosen to being model.

I uesd to like watching Beauty pageants before. However, now,I don't like such competitions at all becuse there are many man-made beauties that cheat our eyes.
Moreover, I believe that around 99.99999% of men like beauties and would like to get married with them. Consequently, through the beauty pageants, men may evaluate what is trend of beauty exactly. With regard to impact of beauty pageant for sociaties, I think such competitions may stimulate girls to manage their bodies and appearances so that develop economy through the buying cosmetic products and service.
The beauty pagents have two sides: good sides, bad sides. Currently, they are inevitable phenomenon. So which one more harm other? this question is controversial.
ReplyDeleteIf we look at good sides; firstly, I'd like to say, it's called Fashion. Fashion is an inventive job. Don't have to hide. Everybody loves fashion. That's why, workers of fashion take off power from us. We contribute to them.
On the other hand, some of people are affected different ways, especially teenage girls. İt makes them wannabe or disare. For examples: cloths, cosmetics.
Meanwhile, animals. They are used for fur or trying to cosmetic stuffs. We can say that they are affected much more harm than us. Another question; how can we stop? or do we really need beauty pagents?

ReplyDeleteI think it would make me bored. Because all the girl is beautiful, i can find the main point in the beauty pageants, for example, I like story, because I can see The climax of the story. so that beauty pageants really bored@_@!^^~
The drawback outweight the benefit. Firstly, Have a good heart much better than have a nice appearance. Secondly, all the beauty pageants does not help loves through around the world. Finally, children under18 might much effect by this activity, spend time and money on it.
3 years ago, one of my friend kiss the nose of his girlfriend, I saw her nose's form is amesiality.....Get my nervous...
On my opinion, beauty pageants bring more positive influences than negative influences. Some of views, I agree with LEI LI.
ReplyDeleteTo begin with, the beauty pageants can be seen as a simple of the rise of women rights. It is not just a beauty competition; in fact, it is the process of one's own value realization. Meanwhile, if take the society as a whole, women are free from traditional role and desire to show their beauty and value in a higher level. In addition, indeed, beauty pageants inspire the generation of beauty industry and boost the tourism industry. One example might be ‘Miss World contest ’, this competition is always holding in a tourist sites. Furthermore, beauty pageants also set a good example in contributing to charity. For instance, every beauty queen needs to shoot a set of public service advertisements to bring people awareness of water-saving, anti-poverty, aids and so on.
However, the beauty pageants also has problem nowadays. Some beauties want to win in the competition so that they do the face-lifting which cause the death or malformation. What is more, the beauties using the casting couch to achieve their aim. So, some of them use unfair way.

The purpose of beauty pageants is to pick out the most beautiful women and everyone else is deemed the loser. The message of beauty pageants is if you are not the most beautiful person then you are worthless, are a loser.
Furthermore, the beauty pageants contribute to a culture in which it is not only acceptable but desirable to treat women like objects. For example,
in a beauty pageant, all that women is parade themselves around, like objects.

ReplyDeleteTo myself,i m very interestied in watching the beauty pageants. every one have the right to pursue the beauty. girls want to be skinny always, boys like the pretty girl all the time. even they will not chase that girl, but they enjoy looking at her or staying with her. girls who take part in the pegeants, not only because they have pretty face or good body shape, but also they are confident. No matter what are their purposes, through this process, they show their intelligence and practise themsleves at the same time. it's a good thing for those girls.
ReplyDeletewhile for the society, this society includes two side, dark one and the bright one. the beauty pageants only can affet the people who want to be good, while for the people who has free living style, they live only because they love themselves, they enjoy delicous foods, enjoy interesting tv programs, or they don't care other people's opinion to them. those kind of people have strong will, so they will not be affected by the beauty pageants.

ReplyDeleteFirstly, I would like to think about the advantage of beauty pageants. The beauty pageants are one of symbol to present women’s confidence and freedom in the modern society. And it is present both the internal beauty and external beauty of women. Last, all of this from the beauty pageant is through the joint efforts of individuals and society to promote the development to all aspects. Such as tourism; local economic and modeling.
In the negative side, things always goes contrary with people’s mine, the beauty pageants will leads to people always focus on the external beauty. It looks not really not seems to like a modern civilization. It will lead to the people have contrary thinking way by the beauty pageants, become the bias value.
In conclusion, determine the beauty pageants are good things or not, is depend on the value of beauty .so I am neutral on here.

I do not agree with beauty pageants cause more harm than good. I think everyone who have seem the beauty pageants will know that, the models in the beauty pageants are competing both physical and inner beauty. Pursuit beauty is a nature of human. However, the true beauty is not just physical beauty or inner beauty, that it is both of them. So, the champions of the beauty pageants have both of physical and inner beauty who will be considered the model of the people. As a result, increasing number of people will pursuit both physical and inner beauty. It is a human right, and then people will be more perfect that is good for both societies and individuals.
I am so tired today that I just finish the advantages of the beauty pageants. Sorry about that. I go to sleep now. Good night everyone and good luck to the presenters.

ReplyDeleteI think beauty pageants have a lot of benefit than the drawbacks. To be beautiful is the eternal dream of the ladies. The average level of the world beauty is getting higher and this seems to be caused by beauty pageants. When follower was extreme, it would be harmful for their health and living standard but doing too much of anything can be physically harmful. To be beautiful is not harmful and beauty pageants encourage us to be beauty. If beauty pageants are harmful currently, the trend or the definition of beauty is incorrect.

ReplyDeleteFor the society, critical thinking of aesthetic standard in beauty pageants was changing. To my mind, the beauty pageant is an inclination for the aesthetic standard by the people. Due to this aesthetic standard, people (particularly of teenage) would like to follow the winner who wins in the beauty pageants, such as focus on appearances and small size. Thus, people will ignore to improve immanent which are personally and knowledge.
The beauty pageants also have good influence. According my research, “Miss USA” has been run more than 80 years ago; it means that the beauty pageants were becoming one part of culture in US. As I see, the beauty pageants can take a litter break to relax under the pressure.
It’s no doubt that beauty pageants have bad influence. The disadvantage of the beauty pageants were still influence the society. So beauty pageants cause more harm than good.
Uhhh…I think everyone likes the beautiful things, even having different standards. Thus, I really don’t know it is necessary to hold a contest to decide which one is the most beautiful or not. It is because different beauty standards are applied to different time periods and positions. For example, some people might feel thin is beautiful, some might be not; and different people would hold different feeling and standard for the same thing. Hence, beauty pageants might just base on a compromised beauty standard!! It is just a product of parody of rich people.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, nowadays, there are many people are eagerly joining in beauty pageants. Actually, I also do not know what the purpose of their joining is. To show off how beautiful they are? Or to gain an opportunity to act movies? Or something else? I think all of these are because of the social perspective changing. People feel the outside characters are more important than inside. However, there is one thing cannot be doubt, beauty pageants improve the business activities, as Lei Li mentioned.
For me, beauty pageants confuse the social perspective, although human being is one kind of visual animal. For the whole society, but, it benefits the business activities. Generally, I would say beauty pageants bring good rather than harm in short term but cause more harm than good in long term; because the social perspective was changed in essence.

ReplyDeleteI think that beauty pageants more harm than good is the bias opinion.In the beauty pageants some people get the good impact and some people get bad impact.This resaon base on the themselves.
For example, the girl want to become more beauty and participate in the beauty pageant that is the good think for them, they will lose weight,make up and learn a lot of konwledge to prepare the pageant.For societies and individuals that is a good thing, because them will more beauty and if they become the queen in the beauty pegeant that they can obtion a lot of many to help poor people.
But, if the girl over lose weight,even use the cosmetic surgery change their face or body shape.I think it may be harm for their body. Meanwhile, the socical fashion may be change, more and more girls hope though the innomal way let themselves become more beauty.Some example already tell our, if this way unsucessful that is harm for the people and with them whole life.
So, we ought to use the nomal way impove our beauty.
Hey maybe every girl like beautiful face and body! It can imfulence our feeling and slight. I totally agree with Olivia. Everything has two different parts. Once people start seek beautiful and than the other part will be happen. One actor thanks to seek the beauty pageants and lose her life that very sad!

In my opinion, beauty pageants do harmful to society to some extent. It is unfair for women to please men. Most beauty pageants are presented by women. It will make people care more about outward appearance. But it is good for ue individually. We can improve our life by beauty. It will make us happy to see beautiful people and things. To sum up, if we can treat it in a right way it will make our lives colourful.
